Regarding the alarm:
Sleepytime unfortunately cannot start or wake up your computer from sleep when your alarm runs in the morning. I can't include this in the app right now because it requires me to ask for the admin password to schedule computer wake-up, which is forbidden in the App Store guidelines (for now at least). You should not put your computer to sleep or shut it down manually if you've enabled the alarm.
Know though that as soon as it will be possible I will add this feature to Sleepytime.
